the warm blue skies beckoned. the dry earth teased. and the buds who knew better stretched timidly. too early it seemed, and yet – with each reach their sleepiness abated. shyly peaking, then blushing – in raspberries, lavenders, pinks, shimmering whites. dressed up yellows. colors skirting the streets, accidentally awake before they should be.
